Scraping Targets

Mass Targeting:

In this section, I’m going to go over how you can use third-party tools to directly scrape targets that are specific to your target audience. The reason why this section is so important is because anytime you are using automation tools to perform automated tasks such as:

  • Following users
  • Liking posts
  • Leaving comments
  • Viewing stories

you want to make sure that you are actually targeting the correct audience. In our case, we use Onimator to perform actions, and within their software there is already an option to simply insert usernames of large accounts, such as someone like Justin Bieber for example, and then have the software automatically scroll through and target followers directly from that audience without necessarily requiring a dedicated scraped list beforehand.

This targeting option does work, especially when you carefully gather a very selective list of usernames that have follower counts anywhere between roughly 10,000–100,000 followers and are posting content similar to what you actually plan on promoting. This is extremely important to understand because if you gather a list of usernames that are completely irrelevant to the type of content you are posting, then the chances of those users:

  • Following your profile
  • Clicking your links
  • Engaging with your content
  • Completing whatever action you want them to perform

becomes much lower, which will directly impact your conversion rates.

Here is an illustration of this concept relating to the OnlyFans niche.

In our case, we would gather a list of other models/creators who were posting similar types of content that appealed to the same audience we were trying to target.

From there, we would insert those usernames into Onimator and then have the software target followers directly from those accounts.

Pros:

The pros of doing this are that anytime you insert a celebrity or content creator that has a follower base larger than roughly 10,000+ followers, you can generally be confident that the account performing actions will have a large enough pool of targets to go through. In many cases, a single well-targeted account can provide enough users for your automation setup to interact with for days, or even multiple weeks, before you need to start adding new target accounts into the rotation.

Cons:

The cons of simply adding celebrities/content creators into the “Follow Users Followers” section inside Onimator is that, many times, the users the software ends up scrolling through may not actually be the most optimal target audience for what you are trying to promote. The reason for that is because not everyone following Kim Kardashian, for example, is necessarily going to be interested in whatever it is you are promoting. Even though she has hundreds of millions of followers, having the software scroll through that massive audience is not always the most efficient or optimized way of locating highly targeted users. That’s not to say that this method cannot work, because it absolutely can.

However, there are also third-party tools available that allow you to target users using much more specific filtering methods and metrics, helping you build a target audience that has a much higher probability of:

  • Engaging with your content
  • Following your accounts
  • Clicking your links
  • Converting into whatever goal you are trying to achieve

The type of targeting that most agencies typically do is gather a list of creators within a specific niche and then use third-party scraping/filtering software to collect and filter the most optimal targets from those audiences. These tools usually allow agencies to apply advanced filters that help remove:

  • Bots
  • Inactive profiles
  • Low-quality accounts
  • Spam users
  • Users that are unlikely to engage

From there, agencies will then take those filtered target lists and directly insert them into the “Follow Specific Users” section inside the Onimator dashboard.

This method of targeting is much more specific, especially since you are collecting a filtered list of targets beforehand and then having the software directly target those exact users, rather than randomly scrolling through large follower lists using the “Follow User’s Followers” method.

Onimator does have other targeting options available within their software as well. However, the two methods we covered above are the ones that our agency is personally most familiar with and has the most experience using.

ScraperGlass.com is a third-party data extraction application that allows users to insert a narrow list of content creators that post content similar to what you plan on promoting. From there, by using the advanced filtering options within the dashboard, you can carefully filter out the most optimal targets that have a higher probability of converting into whatever goal or product you are trying to promote.

One of the most optimal ways to actually use ScraperGlass.com is by first going through Instagram yourself and selecting a list of usernames that meet the following criteria:

A: The accounts should be posting content similar to what you plan on promoting.

For example:

  • If you plan on promoting a construction company, then you should collect usernames of other accounts posting construction-related content.
  • If you are promoting a fitness brand, then you should target fitness creators.
  • In our case, our staff would gather usernames of other OnlyFans creators that were posting a similar style of content as our models.

The whole goal is to make sure that the audience you are targeting is already interested in content similar to yours.

B: The usernames should ideally have a follower range somewhere between roughly 10,000–100,000 followers.

The reason for this is because once accounts become extremely large, there is a much higher chance that a portion of their followers are:

  • Botted
  • Inactive
  • Low-quality
  • Spam accounts

Because of that, scraping extremely massive creators is often not the most optimal targeting approach since you may end up collecting targets that are not real active users.

Tip:

One good way of finding creators that post content similar to what you plan on promoting is by optimizing your Instagram “Explore Page.” Many agencies will create a separate dedicated Instagram account specifically for research and target collection purposes.

The process usually works like this:

  • First, follow larger creators within the niche you plan to target (typically creators with 1M+ followers)
  • Then begin scrolling through their content
  • Engage with posts by liking, viewing, and interacting with the content naturally

What this does is train the Instagram algorithm around that niche. Over time, your Explore Page will start becoming optimized toward that specific category of content, and Instagram will begin recommending additional creators that are posting similar material. From there, you can simply go through the recommended creators one-by-one and collect usernames that match the criteria mentioned earlier.

You simply collect a list of creators, paste them into the dedicated Target Input Box inside ScraperGlass.com and then click “Extract”

From that point on, you can then head over to the “Your Extractions” tab located on the left-side menu and download the completed target list as a .txt file. From there, you can directly insert those usernames into Onimator and begin targeting those users through the automation software

I advise that you go and check out ScraperGlass.com yourself and spend some time playing around with the settings and advanced filters. There are many different ways you can narrow down your target audience through their advanced filtering section. That being said, it is quite important that you test everything yourself so that you can gauge exactly how specific you want your targeting audience to be.

Honestly, it is often a good idea to not use too many filters at the beginning. Instead, start broader, gather data from performing actions through Onimator, and then once you begin seeing your conversion rates and engagement results, you can make more informed adjustments afterward based on real data
